When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D:p

Good morning - I only popped on here to have a quick read...I'm not long up;) But, couldn't see the thread....9.30?! Where are you all!??:D
So, thought I'd start you off - been a few weeks since I've done this:rotfl:
Quiet day for me today - need to nip out for petrol and a few bits of shopping later, but not much.
Having lovely summer holidays - back to work on tuesday though...booo.

Here's my list for the day:
  • check abnking - ok
  • daily scratches - 10p and 25p
  • Tesco with my list (very small)
  • washing on quickwash then on the line
  • Meal from store food - chicken curry
  • wrap and post (maybe) ebay parcels
  • Contemplate getting my stuff ready for back to work....
  • Take some stuff to the tip as we go past to gt to Tesco anyway
Ok, that's my lot:p
Have a lovely start to the bank holiday weekend:j
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Hello,

Snap Candy - also baffled with AF

Do all 4 year olds think that the world revolves around them or is it just mine. She had stolen my chocolates and shared them with the dogs . Lucky no other harm to the dogs except rather unpleasant wind. I am so cross and trying to come up with suitable punishmet. The best I have come up so far is withdraw all ice creams and sweeties for the rest of the weekend.

Other problem I have is DD's dad. He wants to see her every third Saturday from 13.00 to 19.30 and me to drive to services an hour drive away to drop her off and pick her up (her bed time is 7pm). I am not happy with this so wondering what kind of arrangements other people have?

    Anyway today:
    - Normal scratchies etc
    - Meals from what is in except might slip for lunch as going to take DD to the park and then buy something from the coffee kiosk (we are on holiday still :o)
    - No need to check bank as did it yesterday and pretty much emptied my account (have now paid August rent and something towards nursery bill)
    - Miss BF as he is working and I don't know when I will see him next time

    AF = alcohol free

And you're not at all thick, it's only relevant if you're trying to give it up or cut down :o
