Is this possible because there have been a few houses I have been tracking which were sold via estate agents but haven't appeared on the Land Registry sold price data register and its been nearly a year since they were sold.

Good question, why should everyone be able to find out the price i paid for my house?
Although i like to look at other peoples and be nosey!
Hopefully someone will know the answer but i don't think you can hide it!0 -
No I don't think you can hide it but we used to look up sevral every week at £3 a time (now £4) and there were times where there was no record of a particular house even though we had sold it in the past couple of years. So mystery?A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.0

If it is sold to a company, or property developer, it won't show up.
If it's repossessed and sold at auction it won't show up.
Apart from that there are some that don't appear, for what appears to be no good reason; maybe they're entered onto the database wrongly somehow, so it's a data input error, or maybe the form slipped down the back of the filing cabinet....
No, you can't choose to have it hidden, but some just are.0 -

You can look them up on Zoopla .
My house and the price I paid for it appeared on there just a few weeks after I bought it. Just go to the bit at the top where it says 'Sold Prices'. I particularly like seeing what my neighbours houses are worth.August £10 a day challenge- £27/£3100 -
How much information does the land registry give because sites like zoopla don't have much details on the type of property sold?0

Land Registry registry entries do not give any details of the house.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.0

There is an argument that a more transparent property market is better for everyone...though in the case of new build flats, the developers made a mockery of this with "cashback" etc.0 -

Zoopla, and sites like it, get a data feed from Land Registry and Registers of Scotland.
If a property has been misplaced, or fallen down the back of the filing cabinet at LR or RoS, you won't find it on Zoopla......0 -
