Confused the hell out of me SS I was reading my comments from 30/4 and thinking I must have early onset dementia cos I couldn't remember typing any of that last weekend, then I realised it was from last year.

Shocked the bejesus out of me too!

Pay rise is very complex - I'm being paid by one employer to work for another. The contractual issues are dragging on. I am chasing it like a banshee :D

Sold the expensive car and bought a cheaper one. One more to sell - booked in for a service and MOT on Wed actually ;)

Ahh, the ones thats paid for! ;):p

Seriously, whack a new one up now. I'll stay online to cast my expert eye over it. :D

My deal with my two is no bank loans or credit cards and I will support them as much as possible but they need to work to eke out that support, they both have old banger cars and pay their own expenses for them. They also have to pass all their modules because I am not paying for them to doss around. So far so good, maybe in 2 years I will be able to retire!
I know I'm quoting from a year ago here (I'm a bit slow....) but you sound like a fab parent!

How's the retirement plan going.....only a year to go according to the above eh? :D

Then surely now the times is that it's most important! Do it at the worst case scenario! ;)

If you won't post it on here, just write it all down at home. As long as the debt is going down it doesn't matter how quickly. As long as it's in the right direction. :)

Aw thanks Snaggles, I hope my children think so too!

My DD left uni last November and she is working now, she will be 20 soon, DS graduates in July, last exam next week so the retirement plan is coming together well.

I am hoping to stop working fulltime at 55 so the next 8 years will be spent paying the extra money I used to spend on children into my pension funds and other savings vehicles to ensure I can still enjoy life.
