Certainly if you order a new preregistered car from Motorpoint and I'm guessing others, you will be the 2nd name in the book, the supplying dealer being the 1st.

Indeed, and the name will not always be MotorPoint or that of the supplying dealer.

Apparently, MotorPoint and possibly others act as agents for other suppliers, my Cousin purchased a pre-reg car from them and it had a private address as the first owner, work that one out, I am as confused as you.

The Motor Trade works in mysterious ways.. :D

I went on the DVLA website and typed in the Sep 09 reg that's with my new car and it says first registered owner - 1/9/09 so it is new and not pre-registered. The car was just pre-July made and pre-July price rise purchased from the dealer I guess. I probably read too much into the pre-registered articles and linked it to my future purchase after getting abit confused.
