Contract negotiation with Vodafone

Hi guys, after being offered nothing good to stay with O2, I've decided to leave.
The best deal (not using cashback etc) I've seen is from Vodafone - 100 mins, 500 texts, unlimited internet for £20 per month for 18 months with the Nokia 5800 free.
What are Vodafone like for negotiating? Ideally I'd like more minutes but don't need all the texts and I'm not thrilled about getting a 24 month contract, would much prefer an 18 month contract.
Is it worth ringing them and trying to negotiate or are they like O2 and offer nothing?
