They credit check you in your name if you are a sole trader, if you are a director you and the company will be checked.
Who ever told you otherwise has mislead you.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Would you extend a line of credit to someone if you hadn't checked them out first?
  • No, thats what i though. Ive heard it a few times and have even seen someone on this board say it, so i thought i's check it out...

All banks offering a business current account will do a credit check.

Natwest offer a basic business account which may be suitable, if you have a few blemishes....

Hi there, if you're not sorted with Barclays, I've just opened a foundation business account with Natwest. I've already got a Step account with them, and it took a whole 9:48 on the phone to do checks and open the account. I even got my new sort code and account number. If you're a new start up they waive the fees for two years also.
