Is your partner as fanatical at money saving as you?

No he's not, for several reasons:
- His dad spoilt him growing up so he has no concept of going without or budgeting.
- His salary is decent and he's not much of a spender so he always has plenty of money for when he does want something.
- He doesn't see the point of being frugal with bills as he says that's what he goes to work for. Whereas I say, if I didn't mind spending all my money on bills I'd go on benefits instead. Being frugal on bills means I get to spend more of my salary on more interesting things.
I spent ages nagging him to set up a savings account. He had literally thousands sat doing nothing in his current account. What a waste.
He does enjoy ranting about the government though.0 -

Ah perhaps we should meet up! Everytime I shout, "The Government" or, "The council are at it again!" her eyes glaze over.0 -
He'll try and save money on large purchases but when it comes to shopping he's not as savvy as me. Says he's popping out for a loaf of bread and comes back with 5 bags of stuff (despite me having gone to stock up the day before). Its mostly just stuff we could live without - but I guess that's the difference. He wouldn't give things up the way I would......I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

I like to rant about the government, council tax, wheelie bins etc. - it is a great stress reliever!:)
My partner is very MS but he does not use this site. He very much enjoys my OS cooking and says I am full of hints and tips but he stubbornly refuses to follow any of them!:DGrocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01
