Dinner Party Conversation

With the recent boom in house prices is anyone putting off or dreading an up coming dinner party engagement for fear they end up sitting beside a repetitious, interminable bull endlessly gasconading about the price of their slavebox?

Property talk should be banned from dinner parties, unless it's along the lines of "I just got a new place and we're having a housewarming".

My wife, and our three children, plus two grandchildren share a one bed flat in Thamesmead. It was all we could afford. When we have the neighbours round for a lager and chips soiree it can get a bit crowded.

Use the time more productively, like looking at breasts.(even if you are a woman :))

Or just do the decent thing, get drunk and don't listen. I thought that was the idea of dinner partys

They're not a patch on the ones where we bears sit around talking about how little we're going to buy our houses for. :)

To tell you the truth I went to the 40th the other day and we were talking about how things are.

Can't say I have been one or know anyone who goes on about the price of their house.
