Hi just wondered if someone could help? We've booked a cruise for August next yr & just recieved all the paperwork. On inspection we noticed that even though it stated we were allocated cabin 8622 on E1 actually this cabin was on E2 after looking at deck plans. We had paid extra for E1 & promised a upgrade which now they say are not available. So the paperwork was decieving on first look. When we telephoned they said alot of people had sent emails with similar problems & would get back in touch! The woman totally agreed with us. After looking further into their 'Cruise website their seems to be alot more dates to choose from & cheaper balconies. So we rang to see what was happening & how might we cancel & we were told if we cancelled even though it is a yr off & only just recieved the paperwork we would lose our deposit? We would appreciate as to where we stand?
Thx

Surely its the company that breached the contract therefore you should get all your money back0

Hi & thx ..hope so........is there a time period that if you cancel you don't lose your deposit?
We only received paperwork yesterdayjoe2cool0 -
You paid on the understanding that you would get E1 (as you say, you paid extra for it). If they are unable to provide you with the service that you paid for then they have to refund you.
I would call again using the above phrasing and see what they say. Keep us informed!0 -
Hi they rang back to say that the cabin allocated will show up in the deck plans of the new brochure for 2010 as E1?joe2cool0

Yes on the right deck wrong section. Most of E1 are at the front & remainder E2
Have emailed the company for confirmation of this change, so just wait & seejoe2cool0 -
Interesting one. When you booked E1 covered certain cabins. Now in the next edition E1 has changed and now covers cabins that were previously E2. I would suggest that they are failing to provide what you paid for at the time of booking.
If you were to order say a 42" television model number A1, next day they renumber their televisons and now A1 is a 20" black and white portable. Its definately not the same thing.0 -
I agree thxjoe2cool0
