Hey Jackie, you are not a failure, falling off the wagon a little bit happens to anyone!!! Please don't feel down about it, there really is no is no need:p
What has happened in the first 12 days of September... stays in the first 12 days of September... what's done it's done and there is no need to look back. Rather, look forward to the other 18 days of September. How much do you intend to spend/can afford for the rest of the month? What goodies do you have in your fridge, freezer and larder already? perhaps there is enough there to last you a week or two, who knows?
Take a brig breath and smile, everyone stumbles once in a while... :A

I have been really good and have had 6 NSD's (having a bad back and not being able to get out helps). Mr T's delivery came today however and it all came to £84.27 including delivery, I also have a pretty good menu plan for this week. So I have a total of £233.60 left to spend this month. Fingers crossed. XXXXXSlimming World - SW 156 - CW 152.5 GW 133 - 19.5 lbs to go

Hello there,
Ive really took my eye off the ball and its only the 12th of September, I feel a total failure:o.
I havent kept all my receipts, and have been really lazy, not making my own bread etc, and so far, have ended up spending £136.87, (and its probably been more but, I cant check what ive paid for in cash) so that gives me £63.13 to last me.
Im determined to stick with this. If I could just get into a routine of making more things from scratch then I know I could stick with the budget, and ive only had one NSD in september . Well only myself to blame.
Sorry for the rant, and sorry if Im not meant to post this on here.
Jackie
Hey don't be so hard on yourself, we've all been there - I messed up on the first month of doing this, and I second the LOOK FORWARD way to go. Once you know where you went wrong its easier to put it right. Just concentrate on moving forward from today and I have also only had one NSD. It takes time to get into a new routine as I am learning [never been a big fan of cooking] so chill and make a plan [huge fan of "make a plan"]

Well, my big Tesco shop today turned into a HUGE Tesco shop, as I was trying to use as many as I could of the spend and save vouchers from the Daily Mail. All stuff I would buy eventually anyway, just feels really naughty buying it all in one go.
By the time I got to the checkout, I could hardly push the trolley, it was so heavy, and it was hard getting everything back into it once it was in bags!
However... I spent a total of £154.36, of which I got £11.75 off in multibuy savings, and a further £16.70 off by using the various vouchers. So that's £28.45 off £154.36, which works out to about 18% off, which I am VERY pleased with! Plus, a very full trolley of shopping for £125.91 sounds like a pretty good deal to me, and of course I got my 5p off petrol voucher at the end of it too.
Very pleased with that. Also please that I managed to get a nice bit of brisket and some organic lamb mince in the whoopies section, and a half-price pork joint too! Though to be honest, I don't think it's the meat that costs with us. It's all the household stuff, milk, yoghurts, fruit juices, catfoods, medicines etc.
Ah well. We're still on track for £450 overall, and I'm hoping to come in well under that.I'm broke, not poor. Poor sounds permanent, broke can be fixed. (Thoroughly Modern Millie)

Hi all well i finally got some money paid to me which i've waiting for a while, never lend money to people you know. It takes ages to get it back. so decide to be naughty and go shopping.
spent around £35 inc £10 worth of wine, ahem, me and oh haven't drank in nearly two weeks, so its there mainly as a treat.
Stocked up on beans, tomatoes, carrots, coffee, tiger bread, milk, yeast etc all the things we had run out of.so it wasn't too bad.
DS1 made the cannelloni i assisted and i must say it was extremely nice, split have of 8oog mince in half , then split one half into two and froze it. The other we used the cannelloni and there's still at half the bolognese mixture in the fridge, so bonus all round. DS1 said said oh look i can made this into lasagne as well, so proud of himself when he laid it on the plates.aw i love having a 9-year old.:D
should only need to buy cat food tomorrow (i hope) and milk so shouldbe a vlsd but i doubt it.0 -
I have spent £3.11 today. £2 of that was on an ice cream
as my brother and sister came over, so we had a walk into town. Although i've lived here for almost 10 months there's still various places i've never been to, so didn't know the ice cream place was there. They have some fab flavours, so i'll have to stay away from there
I then had to go and get some milk as made us a cup of tea and realised my milk had gone off (despite being dated 15th) and spotted a loaf of bread reduced to 25p so got that for some toast. I'm more likely to eat breakfast if it's savoury as don't have much of a sweet tooth (the ice cream was an exception)
I'm a bit worried I might muck up my first attempt at this though as i'm already over halfway through the amount I said and only a week in. Hopefully I should be ok as checked my meal plan for this/next week and I only need to get a lemon, some garlic and some chickpeas (which I could do without) as have everything else, so will see how I get on.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Just wanted to say about an interesting cookery show I've stumbled on. It's either Aussie or Kiwi, but the two ladies only ever use up to 4 ingredients in their recipes. A lot of them include the sauces some of yooze get from App Fd which obviously helps, & all of 'em are mid>healthy range meals.I keep meaning to make a note of the website for the recipes, but it's connected to the Food channel on $ky...Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Having only recently got SKY I too a have just found this programme. I really like it, it's a very simple concept but lots of good ideas too.
This afternoon watched a Rachel's Food prog and she was doing chutneys, jam and biscuits. She made it look so simple but must say her kitchen was a lot tidier than mine is after a preserving or baking session :rotfl:0 -
4ingredients is an Aussie import being shown on the Good Food channel. The 4ingredients website is:

And Good Food Channel about the programme:

I notice there is a UK version of the book & I guess that is to get over the differences in ingredient names. Had some fun working them out when we were in Oz in the summer; kumara seems to be a sweet potato, ‘tasty’ cheese is a basic cheddar style nothing special cheese, green onions for spring onions, pumpkin is usually butternut squash & so on.
Did the September Clarke’s run for school shoes & was braced for the best part of £35, but actually £28, so not too bad. Otherwise spent a pleasant OS afternoon in the library with DD & didn’t spend on anything else.0
