Depends on how much his rent is and how much the LHA is in his chosen area (if he rents privately) and whether the pension figure is net or gross.
He'd probably be looking at having to pay about £45-50 a week towards rent himself, with the rest made up by benefit up to his LHA rate/max rent. Ish.
He can approach his local LA with his pension slips etc for a more precise figure before he commits to a new tenancy0
