Why don't BSM cars have L-plates?

  • They are only attatched by magnets, so the instructor could of quite easily slipped it in the boot...

  • Funny I only noticed a BSM car today because I had read this thread. It didn't have a big triangle on top, longer thing across the top of the car and triangular at the ends, I'm sure there's a name for the shape! It had L's on the sign. Maybe the instructor forgot?

Erm how do you know it was a learner?

All driving schools must display L plates of some kind, BSM use pyramids, if someone is doing a Pass Plus course no plates are needed as they have passed their test.

If the instructor or his family are using the car for their own use, apart from when they are driving between lessons, they must remove the L plates from the vehicle.

I stand corrected, I guess it could have been a PassPlus driver. However it did annoy me, because I hate it when big companies get away with flouting the law (or seem to be flouting the law )

Basically, you've annoyed yourself with your own ignorance.

BIL works for BSM and he has a triangle for the top of the car.
Much to my sisters relief they can remove it when they are out on a family trip!
Stickers don't come off so easily though!
I'd say most BSM learner cars are a lot more visible than the normal cars with little L plates that some people learn in!
