Problem with yahoo mail

Hoping someone can help with this one.

Since yesterday, when trying to log in to yahoo mail, I get an 'internet has encountered a problem and must close' box, so can't access emails.

The error box reads:

ModVer:8.0.6001.18812 Offset: 00209d2c

I've got IE7.

Last night I ran SuperAntiSpy and AVG anti virus which has removed a few poblems including a trojan.

The problem still persists and I'm at a loss how to solve it.

Any ideas please

Have tried contacting yahoo, but have found that accessing any yahoo site is closing the internet down, so cannot contact them online :( Even yahoo news is bringing up the error so no idea why?

    Anyone else any ideas?

If I removed yahoo from the computer and downloaded it again would that solve whatever's causing yahoo to crash at all?

Sounds virusy. Have a look at the sticky at the top of this forum for what to do.

Can you get into webmail ? http://uk.yahoo.com
  • Try installing firefox as a browser and then accessing yahoo.

I've cleared what I know to clear OneADay - I used CCleaner, AVG and Superantispyware. Not sure that clears the cache?

I've found this for downloading firefox:

    http://webuse.info/firefox/

    Does that sound right?

I'm only getting the problem when accessing yahoo, and can use other parts of the internet ok.

Thanks for the help so far guys
