I got a parking ticket issued by the local authority today. I was parked on yellow lines, however, the lines are broken and cannot be seen for most of their length.
I was always under the impression that if the lines are broken before the t-bar then any penalty is void

[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Wait for the experts but how would you know where the lines end? More photo's of the lines without car would help please.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Putting 2 and 2 together from those photos, I (and any reasonable person) would know where the lines are meant to extend to as the transverse mark is very clear to me and not far away at all. I fear any adjudicator would not be too sympathetic.
More info on transverse marks here on page 39: http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roads/tss/trafficsigns.pdf0 -
Are you parked on the pavement as well?
Maybe that is an offence locally?0 -

Scan of both sides of pcn would give the experts a chance to help you. They can't without it. If no scanner--mobile phone camera/digicam.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

totally irrelevant but you can accquire 3 penalty points for parking on the pavement.0
