T mobile lowering tariff

Hi can anyone advise me how to get a lower tariff with Tmobile - I just rang them to ask about lowering the tariff and they say I can't until end of contract? I'm on combi 25 18mth contract and 9 months into it.

Martin says :
Cheapest way to break your contract
If you're still in your contract period, you can port the number to a new provider, but you'll need to pay the monthly fee until the contract ends. To save money, always reduce your package to the lowest tariff and either pay it off in one go or let it run until you're out of contract. Some networks will only allow this once if you’ve had the phone for more than six months. One well known TV researcher thanked me as she’d saved £100s by following ths tip.

Nope you cannot move to a lower tarrif, What Martin says does not count in this case, T-mobiles policy is you cannot move down untill the last month.
  • Ok that's me locked in then and seems nothing I can do about it.

Do you know what contracts you can reduce the package with? We are a family of 4 and husband put us all on contracts and I want to reduce / get rid of them. Thanks
We are with orange, 3, and vodafone - can we get lower tariffs on any of these?

Errr Orange is after 6 months, No idea about 3 or Vodafone.

If you really wanna get the T-mobile contract reduced, Try and claim hardship, Eg. unemployment, It might work, used to work for them and I done it a few times, Cant guarentee it though. Worth a shot.
