Spending Euros in the UK.

I have acquired quite a few Euros recently, but it's all in loose change so I can't exchange it for Pounds.
I'm not likely to be travelling anywhere to use them in the forseeable future, so I wondered if anyone in MoneySavingExpert land knew of anywhere I could spend them in the UK?
Are there any shops which would take them? Am I more likely to be able to use them in London?
I'd be grateful for any ideas.

Thanks.

I think some London branches of Marks and Spencer take Euro. I imagine other shops in the same locality will also do the same. A few years ago the Safeway supermarket very close to the ferry port in Harwich would also take Euro. But I imagine that's no longer the case, because Safeway are no more and their successor might have a different policy.

Some newsagents in my town are accepting Euros, I suspect this is the same in a lot of larger towns/cities.

Several other clothing outlets quote both as well: but has anyone tried to pay in euros? And are euros legal tender in the UK? (you know - like shops can refuse to take £5 worth of 2p pieces, or whatever).

    Note to all posters above.
Whilst some retailers do accept Euros this is Notes only ( with change being given in sterling).
The OP specifically stated that she had Euros in loose change ie coins.
No bank in UK will deal in coins so stores can't accept them as they have no means of disposing of them.
If she does not want to give them to charity she is stuck with them unless she knows someone going to Euroland to exchange them for her.
