Thats great that it only takes 5-6 weeks processing time in the west region. I'm just waiting for my mortgage quotes to come in so I can send the application off tomorrow! Fingers crossed I hear something before Xmas!! Good luck with the rest of your applications!0

Well we are now going with Nationwide and supplying a 5% deposit. I can definitely say there is a lot of running about ! Going to a meeting with our solicitor today to go over the deeds. My partner is at the second stage of the police selection process today so my head is all over the place worrying about a million things at once lol If we don't get accepted with Nationwide we still have Halifax to fall back on who gave us an A plus pass when doing our AIP.0

Good Luck Everyone0 -
thats great news :T
i still on the other hand have nothing yet
i was really really hoping to hear by 1st october as that is the date we have to let our letting agency know our intentions for our 6 month lease which ends on 20th november i would love to not have to stay here any longer than i need to.
i did email LIFT regarding this long shot... i know but just maybe someone will look at my application now.0 -
Doesn't your lease continue on a rolling month-by-month basis? Most tenancies in Scotland do after the initial period. If this is the case you are only required to provide 1 months notice to leave if you manage to successfully purchase a property using the LIFT scheme.
You will also be unable to state how long it will take to complete the purchase of any property. You will have to get the solicitor sorted and possibly (at the request of a lender) another survey done on the property you wish to buy before you mortgage is approved.0
