money for wedding present

What is the going rate for a wedding present for a neice . I am going to the wedding ,if it makes any difference . It has to be money because they have been living over the brush for 2 years .

We went to a nephews wedding last year. We gave them £250 towards their honeymoon which I thought was uber generous.

The wedding was in Spain so it cost us a lot to go for the five of us (all adults) but we made it our family holiday.

They did provide a lovely meal and drinks for everyone which probably cost them the same as we gave them.

I think it would depned on who it was and how close you were.
