yes rach I think that would be a perfect solution. I literally only subscribe to threads in order to get the little tick mark to save me keep reopening threads. I have over 50,000 subscriptions as a result of doing this over a long period of time and am sure there are other people with many more than that as I havent been comping as long as many have. Hope they come up with a solution before they change over.

I've just put my two penn'orth in to Webby's thread.

I'd personally quite like a marker to show when I've read a comp but need some time to think about an answer (tie breaker, effort-type comps) as well as the 'mark as read' option.

I don't subscribe to the threads (I was just considering it today, actually, as I can lose track) - really hope they manage to sort something out. It would be so much easier just to be able to scroll down through the pages and see what you've entered, what you need to enter and what needs work.

Less trouble when threads are 'bumped' too

Don't know if you remember me - posted until about mid-August then got sidetracked!!!

Had a total hysterectomy last Monday so going to be comping with a vengeance again from today (now that my head isn't spinning on my shoulders) as I am a captive participant as can't do anything for 6 weeks minimum!

Great wins been had in my absence - well done compers.

BTW how do you subscribe to a thread - I have read the Webmaster thread about deleting subs etc but I don't even KNOW how to subscribe!
