    hi everyone
    does anyone know please?
can i use cast iron cookware on a ceramic hob?

I remember my parents used Le Creuset pans on a ceramic hob but they scratched it, so my automatic answer would have been Yes, you can use them but I wouldn't recommend it! Googling suggests they can be used, but with care:

From Le Creuset (HERE) "When using pans on ceramic or halogen stovetops, always lift them (do not slide) to move"

and from another site (Cast in Style HERE) "Can be used on a gas hob or ceramic hob, however it is very heavy so care must be taken when used on a ceramic hob as if dropped it may break your hot plate".

Hopefully there will be someone else in here with more recent experience of using them.

    HTH :)

  • I remember entering it a while ago there are various things such as boots, straightners and moisturisers. It is similar to one they ran earlier in the year about march I think and there were a lot of people who won a few things of it including me.:D

Got a big box of lego today for ds. Think it was from motd mag but no letter. I had dd1 & ds off school poorly but ds seen his name on box and wanted to open it. Luckily he wanted to throw up then so he ran to bathroom then postie came with a childrens cookery book (thanx to pms i think) so I pretended that's what was in box! The Lego's been put away for xmas! :D DS can't understand why they put a book in such a large box!

EDIT.... I just searched and the lego was from Pop Fun (:T Bentley Boys UK) and the cookery book was from DK books (:T Martins Doll) :)

Thanks for that Korky. I have never subscribed to thread before neither, it seems so much easier knowing what pages you've clicked thru. :)

hi wingobins icon7.gif i subscribe to comps that .. some one has posted & requires answers/ or they are asking for help/ or there's a problem to enter it, etc
as soon as someone replies you get the instant email for it, so you can go straight to the comp from your emails,
but as soon as the problem/answers/ etc or the comps ended i unsubscribe to them..

i also subscribe to any postings i've made as then if anyone queries anything on it, again, you'll get instant notification, puzzler thread, take a break puzzler comps, postal, comps. discussions are good ones to subscribe to as you get the latest postings in emails, i keep them subscriptions on all the time as they're ongoing,
    hope that makes sense xx
