Ok, thanks for the suggestion. I thought I would photocopy it myself, as I got a scanner. I also have a covering letter with my degree too, which I will photocopy. I will both of those if they think the documentation sent on Wednesday are not suitable.
I sent the documentation on Wednesday. Now it's Friday, so hopefully, they are happy with the documentation sent (mentioned in my previous posts in this thread). I'm going to ask the sign on clerk on 16th, to see if my claim has been completely processed.0 -
Ooh and when I wasn't sure of what date I finished uni and if it was different to my graduation date, my person looked up on some kind of database on their computer the end-of-year date for Manchester University- so they ought to know yours already as well and I shouldn't worry!0

Ok.
Would they actually call the uni to see that I've attended that particular uni? The stuff I've sent have no uni headed paper. The academic calendar has the uni website address though. That was to confirm the course end date. A headed paper from the SLC describing my payment schedule for my student loan and tuition fee loan, indicating first to last payment date.
My sign on is this Wednesday. I will ask the sign-on clerk to see if my claim has completed. So far, no phone calls or letters requesting more documentation. I've sent the documentation last Wednesday. Fingers crossed that those documents I've sent are acceptable.0 -

The woman I had my first interview with didn't need any proof that I had been to Manchester, so I presume they have some method of checking that when they work out if you are entitled, if they even need to be sure of which university you went to. I guess if you send your student loan documents, they trust that you were definitely at university for those years, and that by September you will definitely be a graduate.
I myself didn't need to post anything off, they made a file of my photocopied passport, bank statement and student loan statements to send off themselves.
It was 2 weeks before I received what I thought was confirmation and was actually the residency status questionnaire, and then only another few days once I returned that before I got confirmation- so shouldn't be long for you now :-) They are really busy though.0 -

I forgot to photocopy the other side of the student loan document, which states the bank details, uni and course, tuition fee payment schedule. I hope they won't notice. I hope that part doesn't matter. The front part shows the student loan payment scheudule and the total amount of tuition fee loan, which is more important.
When checking online through this website (http://www.dwp.gov.uk/eservice/) using my government gateway user ID and password to check the status, it says it is still 'in progress'. My sign-on is on Wednesday, and I'm worried.
I will provide updates in a few days time.0 -
Update
Just signed on today. The lady checked how my claim is going, and knew that the claim was made/sent on the 20 something of August.. She said it's still processing, and thinks it could be done by next week. She gave me a benefit enquries telephone number to call, so that I could know exactly how my claim is going in more detail.0 -
I signed on twice before I got any money, I just remembered! The first time, I was sent a cheque rather than putting it in my bank account.0

Today is my second sign on. Hopefully, I will get my money after that just like you did. If that is the case, I will get mine on Monday (3 working days). It is also my first instalment.
I'm going to call up tomorrow morning to see how my claim is going after sending those documents last Wednesday? I hope they are near completion with my claim!!
How come you were sent a cheque, instead of money sent to your bank account?0
