I know i should have changed it ages ago but when i went into branch they were trying to get me to do something called ' super direct ISA' which is part in an ISA and then part in a .. something else... blah blah..
all i wanted to do was put it in the ISA issue 5 cos the interest is better, not much but it is better.. now i am confused and wondering what to do with it... it is over £6000 so i will be losing a lot of interest if i leave in in there wont I??

Open an issue 5 on - line and transfer the funds from 4 into it. You can probably do this over the phone if you don't want them to try and sell you anything and if they do just say no thanks this is what I want.
The Direct Cash ISA, issue 5 - On £6,000 the interest is 2.00%. If over £9k then 2.5%.
Is it worth transferring from A&L? See link below

The difference over 1 year assuming no changes between an ISA paying 2% and one paying 2.75% is around £45 -= better in your pocket than theirs or the taxmans
