Sky+ - Football First Match Choice - Problems

My mum is having huge problems with this service - after looking around the web, it seems she is not alone but Sky are giving her the runaround and will not answer definitively.
She subscribes to just Sky Sports 1 as she has done for about 12mths with no problems (so she doesn't get 2, 3 or extra). Since the new season started (and her new viewing card arrived), she has not been able to access the Match Choice screen on Football First. As soon as the countdown to her preferred match disappears, a message comes on that she needs to upgrade her package.
Sky are clueless to why this is happening - one tech person told her it was because she only gets SS1 and not the other channels, another told her that was rubbish and that it is a known fault they are working on. She has had signals sent to the box, told that she needs a new box, new viewing card etc.. each time she is told a different thing. Looking around, it seems common with people who only have the SS1 package but Sky say that this is not the case. As Match Choice is usually only available on a Saturday, you can't actually check if it is working until then.
Does anyone know what is going on, or are having similar problems? Even better would be if someone was having the same problem and has had it resolved :rolleyes:
