We have just spoken to the estate agents of who we will hopefully be renting off & they are running it by landlord if they will accept an offer of payment to hold it open for a bit longer.
We can only try cant we
If its no then I guess we will just have to look elsewhere. It will be a shame as it was ideal for us in many ways.
Heres hoping.0 -
Good luck, I hope it all works out.0

Thank you.
As far as we know both solicitors are just waiting on the mortage valuation offer.Every thing else is done.0 -
It is very long to wait for the valuation to be done. I would be worried that the mortgage application has not gone smoothly.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The estate agents manager has said no to us asking if we could ask the landlord to keep it open but they havent run it by the landlord.
Is it the managers decision?
Should`nt the landlord be asked aswell?
Also if we rented another place from the same estate agents wouldnt the holding deposit be less to pay as the credit checks & references would be the same from the previous time?
Its starting to sink in now that we will most probably lose it.
But heres hoping that when its put back on the market there will be a couple of days after that we could grab it again (Obviously if the survey gets done in this time).0 -
Do some people also expect someone else to sort things out for them??? Course not, silly me...
Cheers!

Before a lender would send out the valuer they will do all the credit checks, income verification etc. This is so that the survey fee isn't wasted if the applicant does not have satisfactory credit history or income profile to lend.
The fact that the valuation still hasn't been done could be explained by the lender not being happy with the income or credit history of the applicant. I say "could be" because it could also be the admin machine working slowly in the peak holiday season, but it does raise an eyebrow.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
