DS's are NOT region coded, any contry variant will work with will work with any country games.

I didn't say they were region coded. I said they came in different colours in different territories.

No you didn't, maybe not the best use of a quote...

I agree with inmypocketnottheirs, or if you want an easier way to turn one yellow buy a skin from somewhere like decal girl. They do custom skins and I dont think it would be too hard for them to produce a plain yellow one. Plus it protects your console too :j
  • Cool, thank you everyone for your replys...i havent heard back from jackofallgames website - a bit gutted because they are also a powerseller on ebay, i thought they'd be more willing to reply.

Never mind - i have looked into changing the case, lol, i'd probably break it - i might just pick up a second hand one on ebay (any colour) and then get someone to change the casing, DD will be more than happy with that. I was just hopeful because the one i found was equivelent in price to those sold here of other colours. Would have cut the additional costs of buying casing and getting someone to fix it (i mean she is just 3, trying to keep the cost as low as poss)

:( Never mind - i suppose better safe than sorry.

Besides that, does anyone else's young child play with the DS? - i am gobsmacked at how she has mastered it at just 3 (she plays Dora/Peppa Pig and Cooking Mama really well, much better than her dad - she shows him how the games work, lol), they learn so young!

    Thank you all again!

Car paint but it would void your warrenty if it went wrong.

But why not get another colour and tell your Daughter you looked but they didn't have any yellow ones, the fact shes hogging your non yellow one means I don't think she cares that much shes concentrating on the screen getting a brain age of a 20 yr old. If she doesn't know a yellow one exists then no reason to be disappointed.

Jackofallgames are out of stock but could be worth calling and asking. Yes you are right to be concerned about fakes there are alot around.

  • Lol, thanks, that might be an idea actually. Yeah, tbh i'll probably end up getting a white one and a yellow silicone skin if i can...white looks awful when its grubby, the pink sickly and the black i already have (which actually might be a good idea come to think about it as i could have the new one:D)

No real big fuss from her, she'll want the yellow but be happy with any after the initial 'its not yellow mum!' on christmas day - she is easily pleased! Just as i have quite a while till the day i thought it'd be nice to try and track down the one she'd like most - plus i think the yellow is quite nice myself :p
