    Someone kept asking me for a refund - I asked them to return the item, and they didn't contact me again - obviously expecting to keep it and their money!

    Ask for it back, refund, send a second-chance offer to the second bidder. Though I agree that 'dirty' and 'muted with age' are not the same thing.
  • Thing is the flag is not dirty . the white is like a cream colour like wool goes. I think the flag is nice. at the end of the day he is saying things about it that just arn't true. I mean its a flag its been flapping around for years on a flagpole 30feet in the air. it wont look new after that especialy at that age.

    Ebay will almost definately find in favour of the buyer. Ask for it back and give a refund and save yourself a load of hassle. Relist it with local pickup only and cash on collection.

    Doesn't matter in his opinion you have misdescribed. I also think your description could do with some improvements. You will lose the dispute. You have caused yourself more hassle and almost guaranteed a negative by not offering a refund (which tou'll have to give in the end anyway)

    Poetic licence really doesn't have a place in ebay listings and you really are better off just refunding.

    I've just had a look at your DSR's you have a 4.6 for item as described which says to me that this buyer is not the only one who has been unsatisfied with your description. Looking at your previous listings the descriptions aren't bad just lacking in proper description and good photos. With a 4.5 for P&P your in real danger of hitting the 4.4 mark when you will be demoted in the searches.

    I think you need to move on from this experience and learn and improve your listings

    just click into your feedback and they are displayed at the top left.

    Although in answer to another member who considers 4.6 to indicate other buyers to not be happy with this sellers descriptions;
    ebay considers in the 'item as described' category, as 4 to be accurate and 5 as very satisfied!
    4.6 then is surely quite good!

    The buyer will probably win the SNAD dispute, so if I were you I would agree to refund (ONLY once the flag has been returned to you), and make a second chance offer to the next highest bidder.
  • I agree with most of you I feel quite bitter about it but what can you do. I thank you all for your good advice and will refund the man. But I get the feeling that the seller seems to be demonised like its my fault I tried to sell something. I buy things of ebay and in the past I have baught items that I was less than happy with but I would never make such a fuss I just put it down to experiance. once again thanks to everyone.
