I have been an o2 customer now for some years and each time my upgrade is due up i haggle hard. i have just signed up to this website so thought i would give you all a guide on what you should do.
Phone and go to the the upgrade department. Don't speak to the person who answers the phone. In stead.. ask for the RETENTION team. They will ask why. Tell them your thinking of canceling and want to be sure they can offer you a better deal before you decide to leave.
They can offer you 40% discount off line rental for life and offer you an additional bolt on on top of the one they give you for free.
My example.
I opted for the 1200 minutes a month and 1000 text pack for £45 a month 18 month contract with blackberry bold £50 and unlimited web browsing.
What i also got was 02 - 02 calls
An extra 200 minutes
unlimited text
blackberry for free
40% line rental discount for life
free 4gb sd card
plus option to upgrade 6 months early - all be it as a platinum customer.
All the above should cost nearly £65 per month. I am paying a mere £34.50 a month.
My experiences of haggling i find has a lot of luck factor. I e who you get put through too. If you think you can get a better deal to that that you have been offered. Then say i shall think about it and leave it at that and then call back the following day and say (dnt forget to get through to the retention team) and say you got offered a deal last night by your colleague and your still not happy and that you are still thinking of canceling as another provider has offered you a better deal with free accessories.
Hope this help fellow o2 customers!!! :money:
Regards

I haven't checked in a while but I think if you go for £35 then you can have a £5 discount, £10 at £45 and £15 at £75.
I haven't read it for a while though, that's all off the top of my head so could be wrong.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
