Overseas buyers are no more problematic than UK ones so thats a little bit of a generalisation.
As long as you have done research with any selling will minimise risks.
Mobile phones are risky things to send abroad as there is no insurance and tracking is sometimes patchy. I never sell mobiles abroad you can get good prices in this country. When selling mobiles anywhere make sure that you have your seller preferences set tight no oversees bidders, those with 3 strikes excluded etc. Put as much detail in the listing. Take a note of the IMEI number an photograph well.
Scammers will target newer ebayers selling phones. Any messages asking you to send to different addresses should just be refused/ignored. Make sure you send the item via the most appropriate service with enough insurance(normally special delivery)
Remember to follow correct procedures to be covered by Paypal Seller Protection. Link HERE (Sorry its my own post)0 -
US buyers are a pain in the bum and yes thats a generalisation due to the numptys that use ebay. Most other countries in Eastern and Western Europe (apart from Italy - pain in the bum too) are actually on the whole easier to deal with than some UK buyers.0

Contact ebay through there help pages, forward the email to them.
Do not reply to the emails just relist your phone and make sure you change your preferences in your account and auctions to state UK only, special delivery.0 -
Thank you. I have sent through a transaction request to open a case - although I don't think this will do anything. I have emailed customer support to report the user.
I changed my settings yesterday! Thanks for your help!Just keep swimming0 -

Report the scammer to ebay, and offer the phone to the runner up bidder, assuming they are not Nigerian crooks as well."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Make sure on day 8 you open a non paying bidder dispute so that you get back your final sale fee.0
