For anyone interested in trying a very cheap natural remedy I add about a tablespoon of cider vinegar to my dogs' drinking water every time I fill it up (it is a big one for large dogs so reduce accordingly - too much won't harm but would be extra yucky to drink). I started out with the vinegar straight after a Frontline treatment as I assumed the resistance would need to build up gradually.

We're surrounded by fields and the dogs are never bothered by fleas or ticks. I do still worm them though the cider vinegar helps build up resistance to worms as well apparently and is meant to be generally good for them.

My cats will not drink water so I've not been able to try it with them, though I do give to to our hens.

By the way, I drink it myself and I've never been bothered by fleas or worms!
  • I second the poster who stated it's lost it's effectiveness. We just threw away £££'s on three months supply for out two moggies- it's simply not working. Not a bargain if it doesn't work!

How much do you pay for your Stronghold?

Frontline is useless on mine this year. I've had them on program tablets just to keep things under control but Frontline does nothing!

I have never known them be on sale as they are a professional product but at just for pets they are nearly half price. Not sure how long the sale will be for though.

    CATS:

    3 for £10.78 (RRP. 16.99)
    6 for £16.89 (RRP. 27.49)

    Dogs:

There are lots of different types for dogs but still headily discounted.

I ordered some last week and they arrived the following day
Once ordered they will call you for about 2minutes just to confirm you know how to use the product.

Free delivery if you spend over £25 or it is £3.99 (if you stock up like i did you will spend over the £25 for free deliver!)

i just tried the links in your post and its telling me its a phishing site? anyone else having the same problem?

Thanks for this. I am always after natural remedies, as I don't like to use chemicals. I have been using garlic capsules added to my dogs food, as well as putting a few drops of rosemary oil on the inside of her collar. This usually works a treat.... however, we got forgetful ...and for the first time ever, she has got fleas this year.
I will give the cider vinegar a try as well. Have you thought about mixing the vinegar with your cats food, if they don't drink much?
When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!
