o2 Delivery reports

I have just read a thread here in which somebody was talking about o2 not sending proper delivery reports.

Just incase anybody is needing this service there is a way to do it.

I personally hate getting reports after every text but sometimes it is good to know when certain texts are received.

o2 do not send delivery reports automatically but if you begin the text with *0# (and that is the number 0) then you will get notification when the text has been delivered. Make sure you type it in correctly with no spaces just before you start your text message not before the telephone number.

I find this works great and it means you don't need tedious reports all of the time just when you want them.

Hope that helps somebody.

It should work fine as I did it again earlier thismorning.

There is sometimes a delay on o2 sending texts you may find it comes through later.

It would be interesting to know who can get it to work and what type of sim they have maybe it only works on certain sims.

Mine is a pay as you go.

Just make sure it is *0# you type in before your text writing (not the number) and be sure it is a number 0 you use.
