02 took money out of my bank account in error

Hi, wondered if anyone could give me any advice. I've recently got a mobile phone contract with 02 and have set up a monthly direct debit. Yesterday I noticed that 02 took £40 out of my account and thought this was odd because the direct debit has already come out of my bank account for this month and it was also odd because my monthly charge doesn't equate to this amount so I phoned them up and they said its an error and they'll refund the money to my account within 48 hours. My query is that even though they have admitted its their mistake am I entitled to any compensation? I needed that money to pay towards bills and now I've had to delay paying these bills all because they made an unauthorised transaction.
Thanks for your help in advance.
