I'm the same. My DH would have all the biscuits eaten in a day he even knows my hiding places now :rotfl:
Maybe I could save some more money by making some biscuits :rolleyes:DFW Nerd no: 1490 -
I'm lucking in that if something doesn't jump out at DP he doesn't generally find it but I don't have much storage places.
I'm going to make the Anzac biscuits from the recipe on these boards, they make a huge quantity. I've bought them before and they are lovely. I've been making loads of cakes recently.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -
I'm lucky in that I have a terrible memory, I hide biscuits from myself, and I forget I have them.
It's true. And I'm always so pleased when i come across some.0 -

Oh haven't tried the Anzac biscuits in fact I haven't tried any biscuits in a long time due to dieting but that's ok at least the weight has been coming off and the grocery bill going down by not buying too many biscuits:D
Really must make an effort to bake.DFW Nerd no: 1490 -
I'll be trying it properly this month. i went to the butchers at the beginning of April and brought loads, and still have enough left to feed the 3 of us until the end of this month.
I've written menus up until the next bank holiday with stuff in the freezer and just need to buy a few odds and ends, so fingers crossed my bill will be alot less than normal (usually spend around £200 per month)0 -
Count me in again this month. Managed to be £6.06 under budget last month, however I was away for 10 days!!
Going for £350 again this month but will be harder as the cupboards are fairly low, although the freezer is absolutely full lol0 -
Hi, I'm going to join in with this.......... and try very hard to reduce our monthly shopping bill of £350 (sometimes £400 but who's counting). Up till now we have always tried to eat organic food and locally sourced food, but that seems to be the most expensive option. Any ideas?

Is there a farmers' market nearby? There's one each week in our area and the farmers are always willing to knock a few pence off :TDFW Nerd no: 1490 -
I'm in again this month. I overspent slightly last month (was my first month) but i was still happy with the saving that i made. I am going to try and do May on £80 again, which hopefully will be ok. I have two birthdays (mine included) and my parents should be coming down for a long weekend again.
good luck to you all
