No, but I expect when you top-up online, no O2 employee actually has access to your card details. It will all be processed through their bank.

I didn't top up online, I topped up on the phone using my debit card. I bought a mobile online from O2 and thats when my credit card was stopped.
  • And what about the rest of us who've been stung but have never had any dealings with O2?
  • I'm not suggesting every fraud is due to O2, but no organisation will guarantee their security is 100% because they'd be fools if they did. Ergo I find it hard to accept the large organisations are never to blame in these cases.

My experience 2 cards cancelled within 6 weeks, legit O2 transactions just before the fraud - and very limited use of these cards.

Please to say that i received my £30 refund today from Barclays.

It took exactly 9 days from me noticing the transactions on my account to Barclays putting the money back in.

    Not bad i thought!! :D

They received them last Friday and i was refunded this morning so exactly a week. :D

Ooo, just realised it took 10 days then to sort out not 9 as i previously stated.
  • Just had this done to me this week 02 Prepay 2x payment of £15.00

Had to cancel my card and TSB say the money will be back within three days, all good and well but cant anyone trace these people? This is rediculous!

Barclays contacted me about possible fraud on my credit card.

The usual 2 transactions worth £30 for O2 then one with Tesco for £269 and a blocked one with E-Dreams for £500+.

I already have my new card and have sent back the disclaimer forms.
