    Hello there and welcome, ;)

To be honest No, not heard of them.

I take it its a claims company?

Someone else may have heard of them and may post up about them for advice on them for you, but personally they will probably charge etc.
If you have a reclaim, I would give it a go yourself, you get to keep ALL your money if your successful.

We can still help you through this as well, check here for more info, and post up if you require any help.

Can't find a MOJ number on their site unless its the one under REG???

And no, this is not a registered number with the MOJ. I would definately say they are not to be touched with a barge pole. In fact if you have been approached by them then please perhaps get in touch with Ministry of Justice and report them or ask if they have applied to be authorised.

I had. THey said I should get approx £1200 within 6 wks .still waitin to hear after 10 weeks.Cannot
Contact them. Only answer machine . Left loads of messages no reply. Not optimistic about seeing
Any cash. Can't believe I fell for it . Very convincing salesmen! Gutted
  • just had a call from 1st Call,
Anyone that calls me and starts the conversation with
'how are you today madam' gets all my alarm bells ringing.
The number on my display was +442070603887 if that is of any help to anyone.
The man was very vague and first mentioned PPI insurance and claiming, then clarified that if I had had PPI I could claim...Not a clear conversation at all.. I declined his 'kind' offer.
  • Yeah i just had a call from the same number, the lady was asking me loads of questions. I told her that if she didn't know already then i wasn't going to tell her a thing. I have my number registered with the TPS to stop this kind of call. So i went to their website and registered a complaint about the company.

It's a good idea to register yourselves with the TPS

If you type TPS ingto google you will see the site

All sales/marketing companies should check on the TPS database for your number before they call. If they do then go ahead and contact you then they will be breaking the law and it's very easy to report them on the TPS website.
  • I've just had a call from +44 207 060 3887 offering to claim back PPI insurance payments when I don't have PPI. They also asked about other financial products and whether I'd had an accident recently. They were disappointed when i said that none of their possibilities applied.

As my phone number is TPS registered I'm about to report them. The more people who report them the more likely it is that the TPS will pursue them.
  • I had a call yesterday ('International Out of Area' on my display) from a man with an English forename and an Indian accent, mentioning First Call. I was apparently on a database of people who may have been miss-sold a PPI policy.

He pulled the plug after I told him I had never bought payment protection insurance and had no mortgage or loans. No apology for calling, just pulled the plug on me.

The TPS is not able to deal with calls originating from outside the UK, as I understand it - although I am registered in any case.

If it weren't for the fact that I do have family contacts in Australia who may ring, and the phone genuinely displays 'International Out of Area', I would never answer such calls.

I had a call from this outfit just now trying to flog me their PPI claim service (I don't have PPI).

I told them I was registered with the TPS, to which he said that they did know this, but that they were still allowed to ring me as this wasn't a sales call, it was a "courtesy call" to let me know about their brilliant services. Well how very nice of them!!

Seeing as how they were so very nice, I decided to have some fun, asking "so what's my lender then? but surely you already know who my lender is if you're the ones ringing me? OK so what credit cards do I have then? but surely you must already know this if you've got my number?" etc etc until he hung up on me.

Childish maybe, but it kept me entertained :D:D

Oh and then I put in a complaint about them on the TPS website. Their website gives an address in Cardiff Bay so it's worth a go.

That is a brilliant line. Obviosuly a breach of TPS and complete bull but it still makes you laugh.

  • Looks like the PPI fishing firms are still about:

We had two phone calls today asking if we had taken out PPI in the last 10 years. The woman asked my partner for his address and date of birth. When he asked who was calling she said it was the "Financial Survey Department" but wouldn't say which company. She also refused to give the address of the company or their telephone number. When my partner asked to speak to a manager, she hung up. Needless to say the number was witheld when we dialled 1471.
