Only if the ticket was correct, if not then no.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Can I just re-iterate, I am not trying to get out of paying this parking ticket. I want the correct ticket issued and to prove that the time was incorrect, as it genuinely was.

The cheque is in front of me and has the date of 21/07/09 written on it. The time was incorrect on the ticket. I want them to issue me a real ticket. The bloke parked in front of me may have been within his time limit and received a ticket incorrectly. He may be arguing the same point.

This is about fact, not blagging, thanks, I agree if you do something wrong, pay up, which I intend to once a correct PCN is issued.

The OP has admitted the ticket expired at 10:05 and he didn't get back until 10:12. I actually applaud him for not wishing to wriggle out of the fine
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.
  • Hi,
i had a ticket dispute over the time a couple of years ago and was successful.

i wrote a letter telling them to check the cctv at the time the ticket stated and low and behold they wrote back saying i didn't need to pay.

    technicality i know but hey!!!

keep on at them and good luck

The processing and response costs for dealing with the matter will be costing the Council (and hence the public) considerably more than the amount of the penalty.

I've left an email address for them, it's simple, as it's electronic - enter PCN number provided, save photo, email to tax paying member of the same council.

If this was done as asked originally of them, then no extra time is necessary.
Equally, put correct time on ticket, no need for correspondence at all.

Hi, unfortunately, my 14 day pay up time is coming to an end and I have not had a response from them, so I have had to pay up.

Thank you all for your time and valuable contribution.

So, the ticket was definitely correct, was it?
