Does he know how important it is to you? Have you had the talk and made sure its something he wants to?

Budget we can afford.... erm?!?! I have no idea what we can afford, since we're trying to save for a house at the same time.

Thanks Sarah, just have hope and I'm sure it will, everyone can get what they want if they aren't prepared to settle and keep on pushing. I need to apply the same theme to my professional life soon, but think it might have to hold off a year or two while I get a mortgage under my belt.

Yes, I can rest knowing that it will happen at some point. I just wish it was now, lol. Would be a perfect setting on our holiday! Realistically I think it will just be a random night in on a saturday evening- I just want him to do it when he is comfortable and does it because he wants me to be his wife, not just to shut up nagging about a wedding!!!

Some of my friends have proposed to their girlfriends with no intention of there being a wedding any time soon, they just shut up for a bit when they get the first rock on their finger, lol.

Anyway, back to you- the centre of attention and soon to be blushing bride to be!!!! xx Congrats, I am off now but I look forward to a wedding planning diary too shortly!

Well went to get the cat to wake OH up and found her already asleep next to him! Woke him myself and he told me to go away - charming  but i can hear movement so i think hes getting up. Should go and make him some dinner to put him in a better mood i guess.

Well damm cat, just when you wanted her for something she has already beaten you to it. Typical!

I would not make him dinner since he was not charming and tell him he is taking you out for dinner for being rude.
  • We went to a wedding that had pig and chickens on a spit it was really good so thought that I would sent you the link http://www.spittingpig.co.uk/ They owned there own large hotel so wanted something diferent that other weddings they had seen at there hotel. They had champers with gold leaf inside and their own labels printed, nice but not very MSE.

Would be nice but seems i have drummed this whole MSE way of thinking into him quite well :rotfl:
Hes predictable anyway, came down about 15 minutes after i posted and apologised for being grumpy and ran me a bath and poured me a glass of wine while i finished making his dinner. He can be a sweetie sometimes - only when he knows he's in the wrong

Oh just to say the old thread looks like somebody had a party in it - can't work out why though! There was some sort of mention of some sort of engagement between two people in the room. Could not make much sense 95% of the room where partying while the other 5% were rocking in the corner.

There is empty champagne and wine bottles all over with streamers and empty glasses. There are 10 empty beer cans lying in one corner of the room. Looks like there may have been 2 guys in there since the rest looks like a ladies party.

I did see half a bottle of Vodka and Jack left of the window sil if anybody wants them.
