Flower theres this little thing you might have heard of called timing. When it comes to this issue you will REALLY need to time it right.
Trust me when it comes to this issue, there will be no right time. He left me a note this morning saying he wouldnt be home til late and we'll talk about it tomorrow. So we'll see how that goes.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
At least he is willing to talk, rather than it being a no-go conversation.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Just make sure he knows you realise that this puts him in a tough possition and that your not doing this lightly, make him aware she has forced this situation into being. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0

If I were you I'd start taking what Nims Mum says as a joke, like if she comments on what you're wearing just agree. Completely throws people like that!
OR - are you brave enough? - if she makes a comment about you teeth or whatever, make one back about her wrinkles or something? She's bound to have more than you... I'd never have the nerve though I have to say!Wait until he's in a better mood, this evening or the weekend, and explain you need to talk about it because of how she is affecting you, and it cant be ignored anymore.
Agreed, this needs addressing.
On the subject of the English oppression of the Irish - this gets my back up a fair bit. Surely having a grudge against modern Brits is just pointless - it was not us!! We're not responsible for events 100s of years ago!
Mmm, spa day! Tomorrow's our work's day at the races, I shall be checking in early to make full use of the saunaWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

I would LOVE to see the end result of that.

Firstly its not specific people that a grudge is held against as such, its the english establishment that the grudge is held against (Who have still yet to apologise for the actions of their forebears by the by, and the queen is not permitted to come to Ireland in her official capacity until an official apology is recieved by the irish state) by the majority of irish people. Also most of us have moved on. We may not forgive or forget but we can move on regardless.
And much Much MUCH more importantly, I only ever bring this up in a joking manner. If anything was anyway different I might never have found Dinah so I wouldnt change a damn thing.
Still want my apology though :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
You might claim its a joking manner, but the amount you bring it up would suggest you are quite serious about it, and since you say you're one of the people who has moved past this, it makes me truely terrified to have so many Irish and English in the same place at once.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I think they're just jealous of our effortless superiority.
