Hope the e-mail goeas down OK CMD, think you wrote it in a clear but nice way so hopefully they will agree.
Dinah - Hope evrything goes well with the chat with the pastor, as the others said most people do live together before they get married so it does seem stupid. This is why religion annoys me, although I know it is just this church not all churches.
Just agreed to give them £170 (which is minus £70 as we are leaving 5 days early). I have to think of the baby and also OH in the band. I am not too impressed with OH either but from a purely maths point of view, I should have ironed things out with them beforehand.
I have made sure I put in the email that I am disappointed as I know that will get to her. She is quite soft and is controlled by him but will feel bad for what I said in the email. OH didn't think I should say anything but why shouldn't I say that I am disappointed that they being greedy. I think I am well within my rights.
So angry - but have to think of the baby and the stress it can cause it.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

That is really annoying CMD, hopefully you can put it behind you though and not stress yourself out.
Glad that is sorted out Dinah!0 -

Well that's good news then! Phew! I take back all busybody/hypocrite remarks! Bet you're relieved!
ETA- Annoying that you had to give them anything at all CMD, but you're right, put it behind you now and look forwardWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Gosh, that was a bit of a rollercoaster catch up - I was all outraged and upset for you Dinah, but so glad that the pastor has clarified things now. Will you still attend the church after you get married or is that still unclear?
CMD, sorry you've had a nightmare with that other couple - I think I'd really resent coughing up the money, but it's definitely the right thing to avoid stress and think about the baby. You just have to try to forget about it now and move on.
All good with everyone else? Hope you're having a less stressful day today Dinah!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Aww sorry you had to give them some cash CMD, that is annoying.
Dinah, so even though you attend the church and actively contribute you're not considered members? And that you can't become a member if you lived together either? That seems quite harsh! Good news about the wedding though. I don't go to church myself, but my family are religious and it plays an important part in their lives, so I understand how important an issue it is.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

Yes we still plan to attend the church, the reason I was so upset was mostly that we'vehad some really intense moments there, and don't want to just go to any church. If it was just about a church on the day I'd go to the one in the next village as it is stunning.
So yes, less stressed now, although somehow spent £20 in Sainsburys :eek:Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »*Rushes in from dinner break with a bag full of material, remnants and buttons*:D

Hi Dinah,
Just popping in from lurkdom! Have never used that ticker but if you try TickerFactory.com it definitely works. Sadly my holiday one is still going and it's now been 2 months and 5 day SINCE my holiday, how nasty is that?!0 -
Is it because you set up the ticker less than 24 hours ago? Maybe that's when it turns? I don't really know about such things. Where's Poolie?
I just got bits of plain, spotty and stripy cotton in red, navy and black for my mood board. They didn't have enough navy for a skirt so will have to try elsewhere. Also got another pattern before the sale finishes - just a plain A-line skirt which I may want to use at some point. And some buttons. I got so many little 10cm bits of fabric though, I had a massive queue of old women bahind meWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0
