Much quieter on here today compared to the last two days.

Oh Dinah thanks for the hint about the OU. My OH is looking at it since she in a native Chinese speaker she is considering teaching the beginners chinese course.

That's great Poolie. NIM has contacted them about teaching a course which can be summed up as 'law for the terrified'. Its at the bottom of the pay scale, but its a good route into him teaching the courses. She might find it really rewarding, or at worst its a few hundred extra in your pocket a month.

I know what you mean Dinah. The Chinese course is grade 4 on the pay scale where an IT course is grade 7.

Did think about it but since I work weekend days and nights some times I don't think I could really be available for the students.

Hello, hello! Happy new thread! I've just been catching up with the wedding ideas - lovely dress Dinah, wouldn't have recognised it either...

I totally agree with what you said about men and weddings - my brother proposed to his longterm girlfriend (who isn't the least bit related to him) at the weekend too (ahhhh!) and when I asked him about the plans, date, venue etc he replied 'I've done my bit now, you'll have to ask Em' I think he was joking :)

Edit: So as not to scare Tete again!

    Morning everyone,
Dinah - i was lost as soon as you started talking about money, i still have no idea how you keep track of everything!
Still waiting for the cheque for the deposit for our old flat, starting to get really impatient now.
On the other hand a big parcel arrived for OH this morning, and its my birthday next week so im pretty sure its something for me. It keeps looking at me telling me to open it!!
