I was ill advised by them on the final cashback payment and they are now saying they will not pay the cashback and that's, that.

Any advice gratefully recieved

Thanks

They have always honoured my payments. I have had 4 contracts and they have promptly paid out each time, even sending me one back when I claimed too early.

They have today rung me up and honoured the cashback saying the advice I was given was very confusing and they are going to pay the money directly to me

I've had no problems with them. They paid and texted to inform me as well.

It sounds like the OP may have suffered a communication breakdown with them.

I have found them to be very good on the whole. They did cause a few minor probs with the contracts I have now. 2 were resolved over the phone and the third required me to sent in another bill. It appeared that 2 bills (one for each contract) in the same envelope was not a good idea. Hence I have to send 2 SD letters as opposed to 1 - ho hum.

Suggest you phone them up and ask.

They may have made an error with the paperwork.

Some of their 12 months free deals now tie you for 15 months - I think you will find that this is the case with your offer OP. It isn't network related as far as I can tell.
Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!
