Argos stuff is ok but for real moneysaving :money: you could try freecycle in your area - I got a great fridge freezer last night through freecycle!

You could also try house clearances. My first proper home had carpet, sofa, dining table & 4 dining chairs from one. The sofa lasted nearly 10 years, the dining table & dining chairs were passed on to someone else after 12 years, & the carpet was left in the property when I moved last year. If you look at gumtree here, look near/in your area, then search for 'house clearances', there's plenty of stuff available. There are probably other websites around the country listing house clearances in your area. :)
