Seems like taking some form of ginger tablets / capsules a week or so before you travel can help.
Am going on a cruise for the first time at the weekend so am tempted to buy some quick, just in case!!
Along the same lines, I always pack some McVities ginger biscuits in my case or bag when I travel. They are great for keeping hunger pangs at bay on a trip, good for helping to prevent travel sickness and if you are actually sick..............they are something nice to eat to remove the taste of vomit._pale__pale_
Too much information?:o:D
I hope you have a good ferry trip.

Best travel sickness preventative - 'Sealegs' tablets from chemist. They are good because one dose lasts 24 hours. I had these a few years ago in the USA where they are 'Bonine' as I remember, and was pleased to be able to get the same thing here, as 'Sealegs'. \0

The only way I could travel on a Ferry was on the open deck somewhere near the center of the ship/boat.
Not to read and do not go through any doors.
I used to park the vehicle below and then head for the deck, but it is not so bad now with the ships being fitted with stabilizers.
Best of luck. You have my sympathies.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
I would also recommend the "sea legs"tablets they work wonders for dd and I.In Perfect love and Perfect Trust.0

I thought I might have it all, thank you to all for your advice.
I will banded up, stuffed full of ginger in biscuit and crystallised form and have tablets as well. At least if I am ill, I will have something to throw up.!!!0 -
Final tip: sticking plaster behind each ear! This is not as daft as it sounds, and helped me when I was bad.Signature removed for peace of mind0

got my bands from poundland, and will try all else. Has anyone else bought them from poundland? As they as successful as the expensive ones?0

I've been searching this forum on travel sickness prevention as I'm off to Ireland shortly by ferry (9 January) and was wondering what is the best travel sickness tablets to take? I've felt queasy on a lot shorter crossings and I get a bad headache and felt dizzy.
