Good Good! I was hoping we'd be crossing the finish line at the same time!

    even if we're both crawling!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Sally, thanks for noticing! I haven't just lost it though, it's just that I've only just got round to updating my sig!

Would you just be doing a teacher training course, or a whole degree? There's grants and things available for it, and I think if it's just teacher training you can do it part time so you could still have some income.

If medicine interests you, there's loads of bursaries for that. My auntie's just done a nursing degree and she's in her mid forties, so you're definitely not too old!

I would have to do a whole degree as I never finished the one i went off to do when I was 19....see failure to complete and apply myself :rotfl:

Sammy I so admire you, I really do. Accounts make me want to run away screaming.

Sally, I'm starting over, as you know at almost 40...There are bursaries available for both medical/nursing type things and teaching I think. Have a think about what you'd fancy having a go at and see how it works out. That's what I'm doing, if this midwife thing doesn't suit me then I'll go and be a zoo keeper or something equally daft. I think life is all about finding things that make you happy and when they don't do that anymore then it's time to move on and find something which does.

Maz/Sammy, do you have any of the biggest loser series on cd I could borrow? I've got into the US families one and would like to watch the older series too :)
