Afternoon me lovelies
Had a busy weekend so havent had time to post.Today is my wedding anniversary.Thirteen years ago today and tbh almost to the minute I was dressed in the big white dress saying my vows and have to say I've never regretted it for a moment.Sorry feeling all romantic and mushy today lol
On a domestic front I've been sewing new curtains and catching up on the decluttering that has accumulated over the school holidays. We're going out for a meal at the local indian restaurant tonight so the kids will be having chips and something for tea.The dreaded MIL is babysitting so will need to lay out some snacky foods for her and the kids later
For anyone that is celebrating:beer:
for those that are poorly or feeling sad ((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))

Told DD when i got home and she said shed seen the police helicopter up low round the back of our house while i was out and ambulance wason the pub car park for about 1/2 hour:eek: i really hope no one was hurt, it sounds like a robbery of some sort.

Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Lesley:beer:
Well the heavens have opened here. Just 5 minutes before I got home so all my towels which have been on the line since 5.30 this morning and would have been dry are now soaked:mad: Nevermind I suppose I was pushing my luck, it was forecast showers. They are all still on the line and they can stay there for the time being, too late to bring them in now - we would be ankle deep in water! More washing on the go at the moment, I hope the weather improves or it is going to be a very soggy house:rotfl:
Just finished prep tea, lovely YS pork chops dipped in egg, then coated in apple and herb stuffing, HG new potatoes and savoy cabbage - can't wait it is one of my favourite teas:D
Marie - good luck with the door to door searching.
Burp - no you are not being mean! It really winds me up when my husband does anything in the house, e.g. washing up and says "I have washed up for you"!!!!!!!! As if it is just my things and my job:rolleyes:
Anyway off to do some more jobs in the house for them :rotfl::rotfl:
Have a good evening all
x"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D

Afternoon all. I hope we are alll well and good. Congratulations to those to whom it is in order and hugs to those who need one.
I have a little request to make in case any of you ladies can spare about 5 mins to assist me. I have been invited to a focus group on Thursday and as part of my homework they want me to talk to 2 or 3 friends briefly about health and beauty. However I don't have any friends - only the blokes at the footy. LOL. I can remember discussing health and beauty n stuff with my old best friend before she left my life so that can count as one.
There is no right or wrong answers nor age limitations. If anyone is able to help me out, I would be really really grateful. PM me and I can pm or email the kinda things they are looking for.xxx
PS that jam looks YUM MY!!!What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Hi all
Didn't get to post yesterday - was busier than I planned. Got called into work at seven yesterday morning to cover a shift because a colleague's dad had passed away - was expected but still obviously very sad.
Went blackberry-picking afterwards and have another 5lbs in the freezer, and could still feel the nettle stings this morning but it was worth it.
Plans for the rest of the day - sort out clothes, food etc for tomorrow, put on WM & DW and try to get an hour's sleep before picking up DD2 & BF from Gatwick at 1am. Thankfully I have an afternoon shift tomorrow.
Dinner will be leftover casserole and mash.
Sunnyday - hope your arm feels better soon
Curlytop - welcome :hello:
Hester - well done you! You did the right thing and I too am amazed that it's not illegal to leave a youngster alone like that.
Lesley & DH - happy anniversary .
Burp - no, you're not being mean at all! I've had similar niggles in the past with DDs. I used to put their dirty crockery etc in their rooms if they couldn't clear it properly.
Have a good evening everyone.

Afternoon all.
Ooh, I am SOOOOO LATE getting on here today!
Before I forget, Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Lesley.
Little canine guest was picked up at 15:30 this afternoon; the place seems really empty without her. I hope I get another one soon, but if not, I have Molly-Dog to look forward to in October.
I was going to do some baking today, but realised we have sufficient stuff for one more day, so will have a marathon session tomorrow, health permitting.
Mr LW will be home shortly, and the first thing he has to do is take 2 bags of lawn clippngs to the tip; he cut the grass yesterday, but never goes to the tip at the weekend as it's always so busy and you end up queueing for ages.
Supposed to be going to a CAMRA branch meeting this evening, but tbh I don't really feel well enough to go.
Has anyone else had problems with caterpillars (YUK :eek:YUK:eek:YUK) on their tomato plants? Any idea how I can get rid of them without having to touch them?
Oh well, better rack my brain and think what to do for dins (don't really feel like eating but Mr LW will get on my case if I don't).
((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
