    Morning all!

Grey and damp here today, but feeling good as thought I was coming down with something last night, and I feel fine this morn, must've just needed some sleep! I dread being ill, as I know that when I recover I'll have piles of stuff to do! Same as anyone really though!

Had a great weekend, went to meet oh from work on Friday and we went out for something to eat, his treat as I'd bought us some tickets for U2! Was funny on the way home, it started to rain, and as he'd cycled into work he had his bike, so I got a backie home! Couldn't stop laughing! It's years since I've done that! Saturday was fab, though the journey into Cardiff was really slow, who on earth crosses a toll bridge and has no way of paying? Apparently about 20 people who clogged up the entire thing - loons! The concert was excellent, U2 were there usual fab selves, and whilst I was a bit worried we were due the lecture that Jackie and her dd received, they just showed a quick vid accompaniment to a song. Only downside was the person behind kicking over 3 pints of beer and my feet being drenched - another thing I haven't experience for a long time, took me right back to my concert going teens! All I could think about was the cost of those pints, must be my age! Then yesterday we took dd2 and dd3 to a bbq at oh's parents, sun shone, the food and the company were great - so another lovely day to round off the weekend.

So back to OS stuff today, plenty of washing and ironing, BM needs to go on, lots of kitchen and bathroom S&S to do, hoovered last night so don't need to do that, and need to meal plan.

Lunch will be pasta, as rather overcooked last night (how can children still be hungry after eating all afternoon at a bbq?!). Dinner could be anyone's guess?

Need to whizz into town and visit Argos for some bedding to match ds's newly painted room, anything to encourage him to keep it looking nice! Also going to pop into Asda, grabbit board has posts about cheap napolina toms and san miguel, so will have a quick look. Then going to pick up oh from work and he's going to help me put up new lights in my room and ds's room - well, when I say help, I mean he's going to do it whilst I pass screws and make encouraging noises!

Hope everyone has a great day xx

A bit overcast here today but it is welcome after yesterday's heat.

Hester - congratulations on DS's engagement. Time to start looking for a hat:rotfl: Thank goodness for neighbours like you re the LO. A similar thing happened to me a few years back and I contacted the NSPCC and it was followed up. When I called I was worried that I was over-reacting but they said if anything had happened and I HADN't called, how would I have felt?

Marie - I do hope little cat comes home soon. It's always such a worry when they do a disappearing act.

N9eav - it was me who asked about seagulls - it is something that has intrigued me for ages. I think I need to get out more:D

    Curlytop - welcome! You'll like it here:j

Sunny - ouchy! Hope the arm gets better soon

I have all the ironing from yesterday to put away this morning. Have also got to portion and freeze meat from the weekend. I was trying to run down the freezer ready for moving but can't afford to waste food either.
For the first time in ages the washbin is almost empty so nothing to do there either. Am hoping to go to Lakeland in Ipswich with mum this week so will take a coffee and the cataglogue in the garden to make a list:eek:

    Enjoy your day

Morning all :) Hope you are all well :)

This was the result of yesterdays foraging and jam making weekend :) I don't want to see any more jam ever and the kitchen looks like a crime scene :rotfl:

    CIMG2118.jpg

I was late for work because I couldn't sleep and decided finishing off the plum jam would be a good plan at 2 am. I'm still a bit wobbly, so got the bus rather than drove. Oh has been left in charge of posting my ebay item, so I will have to phone him and poke him into actually doing it later. I have a couple of things to list later on, hopefully I can even out what I spent yesterday.

mummysaver - glad you had a good time at the concert :)
    curlytop - welcome to OS

Have a good day all, cel x

    Morning all

Grey here at moment but I have hung washing out so fingers crossed that it brightens up later.

Had a busy weekend, went off to caravan for a few days but in meantime we were driving round some garages looking for a different car, we had all the details from the internet with us. Anyway upshot is we found one that DH is very happy with, got a good trade in for ours and only had £500 to find to put towards it. I have driven it in to work today but must admit am finding it [STRIKE]massive[/STRIKE] a little big! We needed a larger one with more weight for towing the caravan. I suppose I will get used to it, unfortunately I am not one of those people who can jump in any car and just drive, I have to get used to them first and generally end up in Asda car park first to get used to them:o:rotfl:

Just realised I have forgotten to take anything out of the freezer to defrost for tea, so will have to have a route around when I get home, there is loads of food in and I want to use some of the "stockpile" up to save some money and try to get that £500 back into the bank;)

Anyway must get some work done, will catch up with thread later, ((((Hugs)))) to all who need them

    Have a good day

Edited to say: Celyn WOW!!! Very impressive - I really want to attempt jam making this year, need to get my finger out!!!!!

  • Hi
Well I bit the bullet & phoned Social Services about the little boy left alone, it isn't against the law for them to have left him, but if anything had happened they would be in trouble. Unfortunately they needed his name & I don't know it, but I was able to tell them about the recent police visits (3 in the last 2 weeks) & they were sure they would be able to get the name from the police. Also because 2 of the police visits were regarding domestic violence Soc Ser are worried about the child seeing violent behaviour.
So all I do now is wait for the family come knocking on my door to beat me up, what joy. Soc Ser won't tell them who phoned & reported them, but I seem to get the blame for most things.
    Hugs Hester

Day two at holiday cottage :D, we were off to the cheddar gorge today, but have woken up to torrential rain , so will put that off for another day, might have a wander round the local village today, and find something else to do this afternoon.

Sunny, ouch poor you hope you feel better soon xx
