OH is home, I have had my hugs and it is nice to have company in the house rather than the workmen. He arrived as they left which was good.
I will be doing today's cleaning leftovers tomorrow, have got shopping to do and then we are bringing a take away back for dinner, maximum comfort food :jMFW 2025 No. 7 £2331.07/£2700

zoe lovey have just caught up, please go easy on the booze, pretty please? xx
pigpen its really hard for anyone who hasn't been a teacher to understand quite how very necessary the long holiday is for recovery from the previous academic year. Clearly no-one is going to become a teacher just to understand that, so I can totally see your point of view, but it really is necessary...and I can see you are not going to believe me just because I say its true, why would you? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
            Evening all!
Well what an eventful day you've all had!
Congratulations to all who've got onto courses or got exam results.
Hugs for Zoe and Jinky.
Well done to all of you who've managed to finish all of their lists.
For all of you who need to release some pent-up anger, try punching a pillow or having a good scrub at the bath - both of these help me when I'm angry.
Colleague and I didn't get everything we needed to do done today so we've got to go into school again tomorrow! I've managed to sort and fling a lot of stuff from my room, arranged my tables, filled the desk tidies for each table with handwriting pens, pencils, rulers, a glue stick, a pencil sharpener and a rubber, checked that I have enough paper (I do) and have started to put up my tudor display. We've also de-stickered my drawers (although I've found that I'm missing some drawers so need to ask the head tomorrow about them), had a tour around the school to find out where the store cupboards for various subjects are, and that's about it.
Tomorrow we still need to print out the drawer labels, and I need to print out, double mount and laminate some display things for maths and literacy and then put them all up too. I managed to locate most of my childrens' book labels today, but it looks like the TA didn't finish doing them last term as there are 9 children's labels missing (either that or I just don't know where they are).
At home (flying-wise) I S&S'd the kitchen this morning, but haven't been at home to do anything else. Can I count the school stuff as my 15 minutes filing and shredding?
Well I'd better go and do the dinner now and put the oven on for the garlic bread - I always plan it in to have with pasta, and then forget about it and we don't have it. Also need to work out what I can have for my packed lunch tomorrow as I don't have much in as I wasn't expecting to have them til I went back to school next week.
Catch up with you all later - sorry pigpen if my post has been too off topic. I have been flying, just not at home. I hope that still counts. I even took my stardrops and rubber gloves into school and colleague thinks it's really good stuff as it did take the stickiness off her drawers.
Bye for now,

I've had a lazy afternoon reading... have taken no exercise today which could explain why I have no energy!
I've also discovered that I've double-booked myself tomorrow (well, not exactly, but I forgot about needing travel time ). So need to get organised tonight if I can summon up some kind of energy from somewhere...0 -
I can figure out what some of it means as she said some are half GCSE'S

, we need advice.
Maths will need redoing though, I'm guessing a D isn't a pass? No surprise there though tbh, it's her worst subject.
Half GCSE I think means a short course, so it counts for half the number of points of a whole one. e.g. if its a C, that would be 5 points for a whole GCSE of 2.5 points for a half. Different colleges use diff points systems, though.
D is a pass, and may well count towards the course, depending on what the course is.
piggers sorry you are *****d off
valli I have joined you and added an ignore person.
jinky did the doc say anything about your thyroxine levels?
greenbee, re: food processor. A woman has to buy what a woman has to buy!
Forgot to say BRAVO! to all students with their GCSE results today. It is a reflection of two years of really jolly hard work and its easy for us to underestimate what they go through. :T:T:T:T:T:T:TPlease do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
