I'll join in in a way to hoover and mop the kitchen floor - shouldn't take the full half hour, but will be with you in spirit.

I've got a bissell quillion, but not much use to you all the way down here I'm afraid - if I'd been closer I'd have lent it to you.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Quillion - I think you're going to have to resign yourself to washing all your towels and doing a lot of mopping  The sooner you tackle it the better. And switch the water off at the stopcock until you've located the source of the leak.

I've decrumbed and polished the toaster (don't usually use it, but my dad was here - in fact, I don't usually bother with bread, and now I know why... nasty crumby stuff ). I've also cleaned my suede boots which have been in the utility room since about April :o and took about 2 minutes to do... I suppose I should find the spray and re-proof them now they're clean. And I've loaded the DW and made a start on clearing the utility surfaces.

Waiting for the postman, so could be here for a while... I'm expecting my redundancy letter and a parcel of icing for cake-making.

Oh well, back to the grindstone... I'd like to get things sorted before my gardening leave ends, but definitely before the new job starts!

Dusty - glad you had a lovely holiday, try not to get back to normal too quickly!

G&B - Am sorry for being insensitive, moaning on before I had a chance to catch up. Big hugs your way.

Dusty Kitten - thanks for the vibes

Penny - That piggy is a cutie! Looks yummy ;):D

Quillion - Eek! I'm thinking along the lines of lots of towels too, I'm afraid. Happened to me once before and it just took a lot of soaking up.

Well we are all washed, brushed and dressed finally (if leggings, house-shoes and scraggy ponytail counts as dressed :p) and due a feed so hopefully that will soothe lil tyke-let for a bit. Eldest on potty (always times it beautifully with baby's feed so am stuck to help!) Iced decaf coffee and banana by my side and am taking deep breaths reminding myself "I am lucky to be full-time mother... I am lucky to be a full-time mother..." :rotfl:

Also wm on, Quillion if you live near a jewson, I think they hire out those machines.

Boodle you are lucky and I am jealous, but it is a very hard job with little ones, and you can't even have a cup of coffee or go to the loo in peace, which you can when you are working "outside the home". I def worked harder when DD2 was a baby and I was on maternity leave than I do now, at work full time!
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

Star please Toots/Soappie
(is this big enough ? :D)

My own (Mon)
- Put dry laundry away and rotate whats left on airer (crap weather here!).....weather has brightened up so remaining stuff will be hung out with the small washing I have put on!
- Package up photos to send to mum and sister.
- Get knitting out and do while DS sleeping.
- Make some chicken chilli for tea .... mmmmmm.
My own (sometime this week)

- Start putting older summer holiday photos in albums!

I will likely do the blue list when DS is sleeping this afternoon as off to spend some time with him. He helped clean doors, well he tried to bless him lol! Hope anyone feeling sad this morning/last night is feeling better.
Quillion, our local safeway used to rent carpet cleaners....have you tried yellow pages incase somewhere cheap might do one for even a couple of hours ? Failing that it will need to be towels and lots of mopping action!
