I was thinking today about voices. I know what a lot of you look like from Facebook but I think in words and noises rather than pictures so I want to know what you sound like (while it is the weekend and we are allowed to be off topic!)? I am ex of Cheshire (a wooly back specifically by birth), most people I went to school with are scouse but I am generally accepted as non-specific northern with appropriately short A's unlike my elocution lessoned northern DH. Often shocks people when I explain exactly where I am from :p. What about everyone else?

    QUOTE]

Well mine is Scottish (well it would be!) quite gruff with lots of swearing and slang. Just think Billy Connolly and you'd be there.

Fly wise today washed up, sorted the school stuff and decluttered a sleep on the couch:D. My washing machine is not draining so I'll need to call a man in tomorrow.
I am Scottish too, but posher than her ^^^^:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:less slang, but lots of swearing:D:o

Hex, I doubt I could describe my accent. Born Middlesbrough, moved to London when I was a tot then up to Durham which has no accent at all.....well I don't think so. Some say you can JUST tell I am from Teeside.
witchpoopiggy aww bless him, I had them when I was younger but never really had a tame enough one no matter how much time I spent. We have a spare hutch (indoor) and DS1s bugging me for something to go in it but I think it would drive the dog barmy!
Mudbath do you take the piggy with you on holiday?
Oh serena my friend now na-lie moved to where they drop t's, she ha-es it...

I really really need to remember to phone council on Tuesday, it's getting chilly on an evening already and we forgot to arrange to get the heating system serviced, poo! At least we have a shower and MY washer is cold feed, if it works, fingers crossed there!

Been sorting through paperwork from the filing cabinet, decided to before taking loads I don't need with me, wish I haddn't started it, I could be here some time....with tooth ache from decluttering icecreams
One day I might be more organised...........

Blimey - I don't believe that the TV version of Wuthering Heights is quite as Emily Bronte would have written it. I shall have to buy the book...

It's not, although I'm not prepared to put myself through the pain of reading the book just to remember... Don't they look strange too? And it all seems a bit... wooden...!

I wouldn't waste money buying the book - borrow it from the library instead...

Well my colleagues have just left - had a little while talking over the planning before dinner and got a few things jotted down for the first week's literacy, and then had dinner. I made a veggie lasagne and we had it with salad - it went down very well and everyone cleared their plates - we then had Ikea's almond cake for dessert (yummy) before jotting down ideas for the whole of the first week's lessons. Think we're fairly sorted now, and just need to pad out the details and put them onto a proper lesson proforma on Thursday after the inset day. We came up with some really good ideas after dinner - it's wierd how we all seemed to come alive with ideas after something to eat! lol Must have been the spinach in the salad. ;)

I was going to say that I'm off to bed now, but I've just remembered the washing in the garage hasn't been brought in, and OH is in bed in his PJs so I'll have to go and get it in myself.

Night all and see you on the new thread,

    sexymouse xx

:jMain paperwork sorted, bin bag full shredded waiting for recycling, see I knew we didn't need all of that :D 2008 all completely boxed and 2009/important stuff which needs keeping in cabinet all boxed. I do need to look for a new cabinet as mines broken, another cost, pah. Think I might sort another box.

Hmmmpth, well I am Scottish too, and even posher than the both of them put together and sprinlkled with posh sauce! LOL only kidding, live in Orkney but I still have a Lanarkshire accent through and through. DH is a hybrid accent (Glasgow but with Orkney words and phrases) and so DS actually sounds like us too when he speaks i.e. not really Orcadian at all!
