LOL at the washing hokey cokey
(I am SO MEAN I won't use the TD...)
and ooh Fly Flots for a tenner...

Just to say that Boddy and Lil_me were in my thoughts today with their BIG life changes - one I envy and one I don't - bet you can guess

Hugs Natty ...lucky that lodgercat had your care when it was needed I think and virtual 'peaceful and comfortable' vibes for Lady Liberty.

    Still to do

Change DDs bed - she has been in it most of the day...
    put the ironing away
bring the washing in/put it out/bring it in/swear at clouds and sky

and my ME time is sorted for I have a good book and new DVDs - Drop the Dead Donkey and The IT Crowd. Both on sale at amazone but one was 1p dearer from HMV on line - but there's cashback to come! I do like comedies!

Getting through my own list, slowly.....off to prepare the spag bol now, bread is rising, did the hoover round (result= even sorer back!), phoned mum (she is not very well), plan to attack knitting and photo sorting later this evening if back lets me sit upright!
I fancy some flyflots (QVC sell them do they not?).....I love Ecco shoes (got some in TKMaxx, and hubby also got some in a shop in Largs, called Robertsons I think).
Not allowing self anything else though as have plenty of shoes/trainers for now, and got 2 new Killers t-shirts yesterday (with birthday money from uncle)- this one and this one ;)- not from that site though, our local small record shop actually had three killers t-shirts in!!
Also hugs to anyone who needs one :).

Oh dear, well has turned into a saga. Well well well.

    wm on again, and dw.

eta, dusty ha ha, we had our attic insulated, and where before the snow evaporated off quickly because the roof was warm, now it runs through the ceiling!!!!!

Eeeek that doesn't sound good - is your attic a room or is it coming down into through the attic?

I really want some of these:

Trainers for DS2 got, M&S order collected from store, food purchased, golf jacket returned.

Just having a cuppa and then I need to make a congratulations cake for DS1 and start the dinner.

Lovely and sunny here and quite breezy - might put another wash on as I have the bath towels to do.

  • No, dusty the attic is just an attic. I think, to be fair it is our wacky roof design, not really the fault of the insulation.

There are lots of grants to be had, look at energy saving trust website.

I can't believe I have done everything this week now except the sorting a cupboard in my room (well the only cupboard really is the wardrobe and the bottom of that could do with a going through but perhaps at the weekend.) As for the time for myself... I plan on watching a DVD with DH having a well-deserved lager (alchohol-free, I hasten to add!) and maybe some popcorn when the girls are asleep.

By the way, I went around with my bin bag just now, and went through every single room finding only a couple of bits to throw away :j Flylady i.e. you guys ;) , has really helped me get on top of everything - big huge thanks :T

Lady-L - big hugs love - hoping they can fix you up.

Why does one job lead to another? If I'm to move THAT out of the front room, the only place to put it is in the cupboard under the stairs. But the cupboard under the stairs need sorting out first ~sigh~

On top of that, I've nipped next door and put the oven pride in NN's oven to clean it - I've been promising to do it for her for a couple of weeks. It WILL be sparkling by the time she gets home from work.

And, as it's a fantastically breezy but sunny day, I ought to get the washing done. It's going to be a busy day I can tell!

    ~double sigh~

Sounds like you need to go back to work :p
Greenbee - I want to look into loft insulation, any links to threads please as 'environmentally friendly' versus effective/cheap?

I have a friend who restores old buildings, and she reckons that the sheeps' wool stuff is far and away the best. It's a by-product that would otherwise be wasted, and should be produced in the UK. If that's too expensive (you should be able to find it on offer at some point in the year though), then the recycled plastic, recycled paper and recycled glass stuff are all good and more eco-friendly than the traditional rockwool/fibreglass options. And with the exception of the glass, much easier to handle.

I've been to work, signed an overtime form for one of my team, had lunch with them, handed my stuff back, had a coffee and gossip with my mentor, and LEFT :j:j:j:j

DW is on as I need the magimix to make buttercream. I have to go into town later to get some 3mm architrave so I can roll the icing out evenly, but will try to get the cake stacked and buttercreamed first, and a bit of flying done. I may also empty the car so that I can go to the tip on the way to the shop...

Like soappie, I seem to have had a lot to do since stopping working - I need to make the most of the next month of freedom!
