Quarter of Brits on interest only mortgages

I give up.
Graham, even if you managed to find dates between which there was minimal HPI, it DOESN'T MATTER. You are still better off than someone who rented during the same period.
As I said, in order to get that over 25 years you have to make ludicrous assumptions.
But please, do it your way.
this really depends on if rent is less or more than mortgage interest at various points. and what is done with the difference between the two (other investment opportunities etc)
not really feeling the idea of comparing rent vs mortgage over a 25 year period either. eg personally not getting a whole lot out of the idea of trying to compare renting 2009-2034 vs mortgage 2009-2034 (imo need to throw in various options like renting 2009-2014 and then mortgage 2014-2034 tbh)Prefer girls to money0 -
I am still waiting for an answer, pretty simple to come out with half a dozen reasons I should think.
Better then TV, meet people, chat, have fun, have a laugh, make some points, have an argument.
? Over to you.0 -
I have explained honestly why I come here, and that I regard some people on here as internet friends.
I am asking you a straightforward question - why do you come here? That's all, you can answer how you wish - but I think most people would say some sort of sensible reason as to why they post, and read on here.
Can you?
why do you persist?? why is it of so much interest to you?
why do you follow my every post - is that one of the reasons you come on here for??
here's my answer "I come here to have fun, chew the fat, discuss things, learn stuff. [STRIKE]And have made internet friends[/STRIKE]".0 -
as always the usual mob wreck a thread.. well done gimps. It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

With the best will in the world, I really can't see Mewbie as some kind of deranged internet stalker. You're right, seems mewbie is content on chasing chucky about,or should that be stalking him?
But on the off chance he is.....

Quite offensive and rather upsetting to some!
